PICK A PICKET FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
Are you searching for an unusual, one of a kind, gift?
The Thornhill Heritage Foundation is now offering you an opportunity to give a unique and lasting gift, or memorial, to a special someone, while also contributing to a worthwhile cause.
Most of you are no doubt aware of the Robert West Heritage House, with its lovely white picket fence (picture), located on the west side of Yonge Street, just a little north of Centre Street in Old Thornhill.
Did you know that this is the only picket fence to be found on the west side of Yonge Street between the north shore of Lake Ontario and the community of Oak Ridges?
Regrettably, our now aging white picket fence (picture) isn't so lovely anymore as much of its structure and many of the pickets are in an advanced state of decay. The fence requires a full replacement - hence our "Pick A Picket" Fundraising Campaign.
For a donation of $50 you can have your name, a friend's name, the name of your favourite pet or maybe your family's name engraved on a weatherproof plaque which will be permanently attached to one of the new pickets (picture) installed on the replacement Robert West Heritage House picket fence overlooking Yonge Street.
Local Thornhill Corporate and Business establishment plaques are also available for a Donation of $ 250 per picket.
A tax receipt, if requested, will be available.
